Error description
During the mount of a Linux virtual machine snapshot, using the VMware plug-in, the mount process can time out on Redhat 6.6. Note: This problem has been witnessed on RHEL 6.5 How to determine if you are seeing this problem: In the VE Web GUI, or Plug-in: In "recent tasks > progress history" you can see the statement "Mounting block devices. Local fix
In the Data Protection for VMware Plug-in (or web gui): - Start the mount in the TDP for VMware GUI - go to recent tasks - select the mount task and expand the process history - refresh until you can see the message "Mounting block devices. Please wait..." - then run the command "lvm pvscan" on the Linux MP as root. - return to the GUI and check whether the mount succeeded.

Problem conclusion
The problem was caused by RHEL 6.5 and RHEL 6.6 defects. A workaround was added to overcome the problem.
