Error description

  • Power Virtualization Center (PowerVC) command
'powervc-get-token' failed with the below errors,

CommonName (CN) `10.0.255.176' does NOT match server name!?

CommonName (CN) `10.0.255.176' does NOT match server name!?

Impact:
Users will not get PowerVC token.

Local fix

Problem summary


    

  • powervc-get-token command failed because  Alternative Names for
PowerVC generated certificates are incorrectly including IP
addresses as DNS entries rather than as IP entries. Due to that
certificate validation on connections using the IP address may
result in an error. connections using the hostname will not be
impacted. A code fix will be available in future release.
