  • The following error is seen in the TPC SRA log
    (...scan.xxxxxxxx.log):
    
    07/04/2014 15:21:04 NAA0063E Connection failed -- Login to filer
    \\9\IPC$ failed (username = nasuser)
    07/04/2014 15:21:04 NAA0001W Cannot obtain free space for
    \\10\<share name>.
    07/04/2014 15:21:04 NAA0041E Local login failed --
    domain\nasuser
    
    The SRA logs may also contain such error: STA0248W Cannot
    enumerate shares on \\9
    
    The error is due to the fact that there is a number after \\
    instead of a short name or a full ip address.
    
    Affected Releases:
    All TPC versions: 4.2.2.x, 5.1.x, 5.2.x.

Problem summary

  • USERS AFFECTED: TPC users with SRAs scanning NAS file systems.
    
    No formal fix will be provided for TPC 4.x.  Track the fix for
    the TPC 5.x release using APAR IT03578.
