Error description
The DM Viewer does not honor the CM Priv ClientPrint. When a user Privset or Item does NOT contain ClientPrint priv the user is still able to print from the DM Viewer. Both the CM Client for Windows and the eClient viewers honor this priv. Steps to reproduce. In the CM Admin tool Create a Privset that does NOT have ClientPrint priv checked. Assign this Priv to your test user. Log into the DM Desktop with your test user. Select and Item and use the DM View command. Make sure the DMViewer is displayed. Click on File - Print and the file will be printed.
Local fix
Problem summary
Users without printing privileges could print Users without the required privilege (specifically, the ClientPrint privilege) could still print documents from the Document Manager Viewer. Users who lack the ClientPrint privilege can no longer print (the Print menu command is disabled).
Problem conclusion
The fix is available in DB2 Document Manager v8.3 Fix Pack 8 and in v8.4 Fix Pack 1.
