APAR status

Error description

  • Issue Description:
    It is not allowed to set a Tool from non rotating to rotating
    when an Item/ Tool with the same name on a different Itemsetid
    is used.
    
    STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
    1. Login to Maximo application and Navigate to tool application
    
    2. Create a tool TEST1 with itemset SET1 for a site BEDFORD and
    Save.
    2. In more actions click on Add tool to storeroom and add it to
    CENTRAL storeroom of Bedford with balance=0.
    3. Change the status to active.
    4. Navigate to default information and change the default site
    from BEDFORD to CHILEHDQ.
    5. Navigate to Item master(CM) application and create new item.
    Itemnum=TEST1 with site=CHILEHDQ and itemset=SET2.
    6. Change the status to active and add it to storeroom SANTIAGO
    with balance =10.
    7. Navigate to Inventory(CM) of site CHILEHDQ and search for
    item TEST1. Make it active.
    8. Navigate to Inventory usage and create new usage(E.g:1002).
    9. Select FROM SITE as CHILEHDQ, click on select items under
    usage lines and select the TEST1 as item.
    10.Expand the item , check for mandatory fields and add location
    as SANTIAGO.
    11.Change the status to complete and save it.
    12.Goto Tools application and try enabling the check box
    ROTATING and observe.
    
    RESULT: The following error message is displayed "This item is
    active and has been added to a storeroom. It cannot be made
    rotating(BMXAA9922)".
    EXPECTED RESULT: Error message should not be displayed

    When identical items are present on two different sites, The
    rotating item checkbox becomes read-only, even if the current
    inventory balance for that one specific item on a particular
    site and org is zero and it is not currently used anywhere.
    While another identical item on a different org and site has a
    current balance of more than 0.
    

Problem conclusion

  • This will be fixed in a future release.
