IJ51006: METERS IN THE PREVIOUS METER GROUP REMAIN EVEN AFTER CHANGING THE METER GROUP.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• In Asset Templates application, the meters in the previous meter
  group remain even after changing the meter group.
  
  STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
  1) From Meter Groups application, create a new Meter Group
  "CLASS1" which has the meters as below:
  
  ODOM-KM
  FUEL-L
  
  2) Then create another new Meter Group "CLASS2" with the
  following meters:
  
  ODOM-M
  FUEL-G
  
  3) From Asset Templates application, create a new asset template
  with the following values:
  
  Asset Template : TEST1
  Description : TEST1
  
  4) Without saving the record, move to Meters tab.
  
  5) Click "Detailed Menu" right next to "Meter Group" field, and
  select "Select Value".
  
  6) On "Select Value" dialog, select "CLASS1".
  
  7) Confirm the meters in the meter group "CLASS1" are added in
  "Meters" section.
  
  8) Without saving the record, click "Detailed Menu" right next
  to "Meter Group" field again, and select "Select Value".
  
  9) On "Select Value" dialog, select "CLASS2".
  
  10) Confirm the meters in the meter group "CLASS2" are newly
  added. However, on the other side, the meters in the meter group
  "CLASS1" still remain.
  
  EXPECTED RESULT:
  The meters associated with that meter group will be populated on
  save only and meter group field will become readonly, if one
  wants to change the value of meter group field they can remove
  all the associated meters manually, save the record and can
  change the meter group field.

  changing the meter group, Ideally, it should have meters
  associated with the current meter group and manually added
  meters if any.
