APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When there are more than one thousand work orders, when
    selecting some work orders and committing the selected records,
    Maximo appears to commit all work orders, causing the scheduling
    start and end dates to be populated in all work orders instead
    of just the selected ones.
    
    STEPS TO REPLICATE:
    
    1) Go to Graphical Scheduling application and create a new
    schedule.
    
    2) Use Query in the schedule to display 1000+ work order records
    
    
    3) Under Graphical View tab, ensure all the work order records
    are in Blue Italics awaiting for schedule
    
    4) Ensure that all work orders do not have scheduled start and
    finish dates.
    
    5) Select only some workorders -> Right Click and do the Commit
    on Selected workorders
    
    CURRENT ERRONEOUS RESULT: Even though commit is done on some
    workorders, system is initiating the commit job for the entire
    list.
    Refreshing the status, and wait for the job to get completed.
    The Schedule Start and Finish Date were updated on the entire
    list
    
    EXPECTED RESULT: The scheduled start and finish dates should
    only be updated in on the selected work orders.
