IJ49738: MAXIMO CREATES RESERVATIONS WHEN TRYING TO APPROVE WORK ORDER EVEN THOUGH ERROR RECEIVED

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Maximo is still creating reservations when trying to approve a
  workorder even through an error is received, and the workorder
  is not approved.
  BMXAA4590E - Could not change Work Order 312903 status to APPR.
  BMXAA1894E - No balance exists for this item/storeroom/bin
  combination.
  This is incorrect there should not be any reservations created
  since the workorder is not approved
  
  
  STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
  
  1. Go to Work Order Tracking
  2. Create a New Record
  3. Add a Location
  4. Go to Plans tab and add a task
  5. Under Materials, add a New Row
  Line Type: ITEM
  Item: 0-0031 (make sure the item has a balance of 0.0 and is
  only in one bin)
  Quantity: 1
  Storeroom: Central
  6. Under Materials, add a New Row
  Line Type: ITEM
  Item: LN7023 (make sure it is a condition enabled item and
  provide a condition code that does not have a corresponding
  inventory balance)
  Quantity: 1
  Storeroom: Central
  Condition Code: USED
  7. Save the Work Order
  8. Click on Change Status and try to approve it.
  9. The following error will be displayed:
  BMXAA4590E - Could not change Work Order HS1452 status to APPR.
  BMXAA1894E - No balance exists for this item/storeroom/bin
  combination.
  10. Click OK.
  11. On the same Change Status dialog, try to approve the Work
  Order again.
  12. The previous errors will be displayed, and the Work Order
  will not be approved.
  13. Go to Inventory application and check that a reservation was
  made for these items.
  
  RESULTS:
  
  Work Order is not approved, and error is displayed.
  Reservation gets created for both items on the Work Order.
  
  EXPECTED RESULTS:
  
  Reservation should not get created, since Work Order was not
  approved, and error was thrown.
