IJ49380: IN ESCALATIONS APPLICATION, ACTION GROUP FIELD ALLOWS THE USE OF ANOTHER TYPE OF ACTION OTHER THAN THE GROUP ACTION.

APAR status

Error description

• In Escalations Application, action group field allows the use of
  another type of action other than the group action.
  1 - Log in in Maximo as administrator user.
  2 - Go to Escalation aplication, reate e new escalation as
  below:
  Escalation = keep Autonumber
  Description = Test escalation
  Appllies to = WORKORDER
  Condition = 1=1
  Escalation point, just include a new line.
  Scroll down to the Actions tab.
  In Action group field, click in Action Detail button and "Go to
  Actions"
  
  3 - In Actions application create a new (No Action Group)action
  as below:
  Action = WO_TEST
  Description = WO test
  Object = WORKORDER
  Type = Set value
  Value = 1
  Parameter / Attribute = description
  Accessible from = ALL
  4 - Save the action
  5 - Return with valye from Actions
  
  ERRONEOS BEHAVIOR:
  Maximo Allows Return with value even the action is not of type
  group,
  In action group field / escalation / Actions. The field Action
  Group accepts the value of new wrong action.
  6 - Save escalation, the field Action group remains with the
  incorrect value.
  7 - In Action group field, click in Action Detail button and
  "Select value"
  The wrong value does not appear in the list.
  EXPECTED BEHAVIOR:
  Maximo should not allow returning with non-Group type action to
  Action group field and a warning message should be displayed.
