Error description

• Problem Description:
  
  The issue occurs after making the Classification field visible
  in the main tab and setting a Default Value to that field.
  
  STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
  
  1. Go to Application Designer and bring up ASSET application.
  
  2. With ASSET application on the screen, copy Classification
  field from Specifications tab to Asset main tab.
  
  3. With Asset main tab on the screen, select Classification
  field, then open Control Palette.
  
  
  4. From Control Palette, drag and drop Default Value control.
  
  5. Back to Asset main tab, right-click on Default Value control,
  then select Properties.
  
  
  6. In Default Value Properties, enter the following:
  . Attribute: CLASSSTRUCTUREID
  . Value: 1001
  . Default Type: Insert
  
  7. Save.
  
  
  8. Go to Assets application.
  
  9. Click on New Asset icon from the toolbar.
  
  10. Note that, as expected, in the Asset main tab Classification
  field correctly displays "PUMP \ CNTRFGL".
  
  11. Go to Specifications tab, and note that, as expected, 7
  Attributes are correctly displayed.
  
  12. In Asset field, enter any valid number, and save the record.
  
  
  13. From More Actions menu, select Duplicate Asset.
  
  14. With the new (dup) Asset record on the screen, go to
  Specifications tab.
  
  RESULTS:
  Now 14 Attributes are displayed. This is the issue.
  
  EXPECTED RESULTS:
  Only 7 Attributes should be displayed instead.

  If the default value for the classstructureid is given, then the
  specification attributes are being doubled, so nullifying the
  default value once and only setting up the classstructureid as
  per the asset record.
  

Problem conclusion

• The fix for this APAR will be contained in a future release.
