  • On AIX72TL5SP5

./getbind
Could not load program ./getbind:
        The section sizes in the auxiliary header do not
match the
          section sizes in the corresponding section
headers.
Examine file headers with the 'dump -ohv' command.

Local fix

  • 



Problem summary


    

  • While building an xcoff file using gcc/xlc, with the object
files having dwarf section (dwmac), generated xcoff file
would be corrupted.

Following error may be observed when binary is run,
./<executable>
Could not load program <executable>:
The section sizes in the auxiliary header do not match the
section sizes in the corresponding section headers.
Examine file headers with the 'dump -ohv' command.

Issue is observed after AIX 7.2 TL 5 SP5 level
