Error description

  • ERROR DESCRIPTION:
Error "BMXAA2661E - Location [abc] is not a valid location." in
    "Create service request" application

    PROBLEM:
Error "BMXAA2661E - Location [abc] is not a valid location."
after selecting a location from the same site as the default of
the user if another location from another site was previously
selected in "Create service request" application
There is an error in the client's environments and in your own
demo environment, after selecting a location from the same site
as the default site of the logged user, if another location from
another site (but still in the same organization) was previously
selected in "Create service request" application. This seems to
be triggered by using the Select Value combined with the fact
    that multiple sites are involved.

    STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
    Open Maximo as maxadmin
Ensure the Default Insert Site for maxadmin is BEDFORD
Go to Create Service Request app
In the Location field, click in the detail menu and Go To
    Locations
On the left menu, Click All Records
Select a Record from FLEET site, for example, 5452
Click Return with Value to go back to Create Service Request app

Now, click again on the detail menu ofthe Location field, but
this time click Select Value option
The Select Value screen will appear... but click cancel.
Click again on the detail menu and Go To Locations again
On the left menu, Click All Records
Select a Record from BEDFORD site, for example, AIR100
    Click Return with Value

    You will receive an error:

    BMXAA2661E - Location AIR100 is not a valid location.

NOTE- Typing AIR100 directly in the Location field works.

    CURRENT ERRONEOUS RESULT:
Click Return with Value results in error: BMXAA2661E

    EXPECTED RESULT:
Click Return with Value does NOT result in error: BMXAA2661E
