Error description

  • ERROR DESCRIPTION:
    Workorders with images in png format that are base 64 encoded
    are not opening in Maximo after upgrade to 7.6.1.3
    
    PROBLEM:
    Workorders with images in png format that are base 64 encoded
    not opening in Maximo after upgrade to 7.6.1.3 (Previous version
    7612 allowed to directly copy and paste without using Paste from
    Word)
    No errors are seen in the Maximo logs. The only errors I see is
    that in the Developer tools, in the browser, a message like this
    appears:
    Synchronous XMLhttpRequest on the main thread is deprecated
    because of its detrimental effects
    
    STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
    0) Create a new work workorder in Maximo, in Work Order Tracking
    application and open the Long Description field.
    1) Paste directly a png image in base64 format in Workorder long
    description. (Not using Paste from Word)
    2) Click OK - Screen freezes
    
    For pre-existing records with that same long description value:
    1) Try to open the workorder
    2) Screen gets freezed and able to navigate to other tabs of
    workorder.
    
    This was working fine before the upgrade to version 7613. Tested
    in version 7612, and indeed, even using direct copy and paste,
    the screen does not freeze.
    This issue is being observed after 7613 upgrade
