Error description

  • PROBLEM:

Regarding a PM that is associated with a Route with Route Stops
set to "Entries In the Work Order's Multi Asset, Location and CI
Table" and an inspection form attached to Route Stop. In the
generated WOs from this PM, in the "Multiple Assets, Locations
and CIs" section of the WO, the "Target Description" field value
will populate with the "Inspection Form Name". Client has tried
to populate Target Description of newly created WOs with Route
Stop description using a crossover domain but the above
    overwrites.

    STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
    - Create a Route

    - Select "Entries in the Work Order's Multi Asset, Location and
CI Table" radio button for "When this Route is applied to a Work
Order, the Route Stops will become:"

    - Add a Route Stop with a Location (ADDR2001) with an
    Inspection Form (1001)

    - Save Route and the ROUTE_STOP.INSPFORMNAME will populate

    - Create a PM

    - Add the Route created above to the Details section of the PM

    - Set the "Frequency" in the Frequency tab to 1

    - Set the "Frequency Units" to DAYS

    - Set "Estimated Next Due Date" to the day after the current
    day

    - Change status of PM to Active

    - In More Actions, select "Generate Work Orders"

    - Set "Generate WOs Due Today Plus This Number of Days:" to 1
    and click OK
    - View the created WO in Work Order Tracking

    - In the "Multiple Assets, Locations and CIs" section, you will
see the "Target Description" has been populated with the
    inspection form name

    Clients Crossover Domain Steps:
    - Go to Domains application and create a crossover domain
    - Description: Crossover from ROUTE_STOP.DESCRIPTION to
    MULTIASSETLOCCI.TARGETDESC
    - Source Object: ROUTE_STOP
    - Where Clause: :ROUTE=ROUTE AND :ROUTESTOP=ROUTESTOPID AND
    :SITEID=SITEID
    - Error Message Group: ROUTE_STOP
    - Error Message Key: NotValidROUTESTOP
    - Source Field: DESCRIPTION
    - Destination Field: TARGETDESC
    - Go to Database Configuration application:
    - Go to MULTIASSETLOCCI Object > ROUTESTOP Attribute:
    - Apply crossover domain created earlier
    - Go to MULTIASSETLOCCI Object > TARGETDESC Attribute:
    - Increase field length to 100 because the source
ROUTE_STOP.DESCRIPTION has a length bigger than the target
    MULTIASSETLOCCI.TARGETDESC.
    - THIS ALSO CHANGES MULTIPLE OBJECTS THAT ARE SAME AS
    MULTIASSLOCCI

    CURRENT ERRONEOUS RESULT:

In the "Multiple Assets, Locations and CIs" section of a new
WO, the "Target Description" field value will always populate
    with the "Inspection Form Name".

    EXPECTED RESULT:
The Target Description field in the "Multiple Assets,
Locations and CIs" section of a new WO should be blank or
populated by Route Stop description (via crossover domain), not
the Inspection Form Name of the Inspection on the Route Stop.
