Error description

  • PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
    After applying IFIIX 007 on Maximo TPAE 7.6.1.3, an error
    message BMXAA4144E - The date/time format is not valid comes up
    during the 'Pick' action in Manage inventory work center which
    completes successfully and even though the date format in the
    Required Date field is actually correct. This error therefore
    creates confusion for Users.

    STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
    * Log on to Maximo.
    * In Profile/Default Information, set a non-US Locale (for
    example, Locale = en_AU)
    * Go to Inventory application and select Add/Modify
    Reservations
    * Add a new reservation (enter Item #, Storeroom, Quantity,
    Requested Date = <systemdate> and especially a Required Date).
    * Ensure that Required Date value has a DD value in the 12-31
    range, otherwise the error will not occur.
    * For example, these date values show as Requested Date =
    10/05/23, Required Date = 26/05/23 in the Australian Date
    format.
    * From Work Order field, hyperlink to Work Order Tracking,
    select a WO in APPR status and Return with value.
    * Click OK in Add/Modify Reservations dialog.
    * Go to Manage inventory work center
    * Set filter Dates on the Reservations tab: From = May 1, To =
    May 30
    * The reservation made in Inventory is showing in the list.
    * Check the box for this reservation and click Create Picks
    option
    * You get the Create Pick List dialog: it shows Required Date
    = 26/05/23
    * Enter a description PickList #1 and then click on Pick
    List.
    * On the Open tab, check the box for the relevant Item. Select
    Pick Selected on the menu which then appears.
    * Click on the Pick button in the menu at bottom.
    * Error message: BMXAA4144E - The date/time format is not
    valid. Make sure the date/time is specified in a valid format
    supported by the current locale setting comes up.
    * Click OK.
    * The row for the relevant item has disappeared from the Open
    tab and is now visible on the Picked tab.
    * Check the date format in the Required Date field: it is
    actually correct.
    * The Pick action therefore completed correctly but the error
    message creates confusion.

    RESULTS:
    Error message BMXAA4144E - The date/time format is not valid
    comes up even though the 'Pick' action in Manage inventory
    work center completes successfully and the date format is
    actually correct.

    EXPECTED RESULTS:

    Error message: BMXAA4144E - The date/time format is not valid.
    Make sure the date/time is specified in a valid format supported
    by the current locale setting should not come up, because the
    date format in the Required Date field is actually correct.
