Error description

  • The ROLL crontask does not deactivate once the scheduler record
is set to no longer be rolling.

    STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

    1. Create a new scheduler record and add all needed information,
add a work order query example: (wonum like '%500%'), check the
Rolling Schedule check box and save.

    2. Under the common actions section, select Roll Schedule and
add a value to the recurring section and press OK, add an email
    address and save the changes.

    3. Open the Cron Task Setup application and remove the full
value from the Access Level section. In the Cron Task field
search for Roll, select the first value returned. The lower
portion of the screen, Cron Task Parameters will hold the name
of the scheduler record created in step 2.

    4. Move back to the Scheduler application and call the record
created earlier, remove the check mark from Rolling Schedule and
save. We no longer have access to the Roll action under Common
    actions.

    5. Open the Cron Task Setup application and call the Roll cron
task back to the screen, notice that the cron task is still
active, it should have been disabled.

    RESULTS:

    Cron Task was not deactivated.

    EXPECTED RESULTS:

That Cron Task would have been deactivated.

Local fix

  • To manually correct the issue use the following steps;

    1. Call the Scheduler record to screen and place a checkmark in
the Rolling Schedule field and save.

    2. Open the Rolling Schedule dialog and remove the value from
    the Recurring field and save.

Now when you check the Roll cron task it will no longer be
    activated.
