IJ46505: UPGRADE TO 9.2.31 FAILS IN A VERY RARE CASE WHEN CONTENT OF ONE TABLE IS TEMPORARILY STALE BETWEEN DATA IMPORTS

APAR status

Error description

  • ILMT user may face an issue with database schema update to the
    9.2.31 level due to discrepancy between the 'computer_healths' &
    'computer_health_statuses' table content.
    Upgrade fails with the following error message:
    "Applying post server upgrade database changes failed.
    It might happen when you are installing a new instance of
    License Metric Tool and using a database from the old instance.
    In such case, the behavior is expected. For more information,
    refer to the tema.log file."
    
    The following error can be observed in tema.log:
    SRVE0292I: Servlet Message - [tema]:.[ERROR]
    Java::ComIbmDb2JccAm::SqlIntegrityConstraintViolationException:
    Assignment of a NULL value to a NOT NULL column "TBSPACEID=2,
    TABLEID=390, COLNO=5" is not allowed.. SQLCODE=-407,
    SQLSTATE=23502, DRIVER=4.28.11:         update
