IJ46485: BUDGET CRON TASK CONSIDERING WAITING FOR APPROVAL RECORD FOR BUDGET UPDATE

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When budget Cron task (BUDGETUPD) runs with all budget records
  in approved (APPR) status, it runs and update the budget lines.
  But if one record is in Waiting for approval (WAPPR) then Budget
  Cron doesnt update the other Budget records. It gives below
  error:
  BMXAA9106E - The budget must be approved to update the budget
  lines.
  STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
  1.	Open the Budget Monitoring application and click to create a
  new budget:
  a.	Budget: Test budget 1
  b.	Year: 2023
  c.	Supervisor: MAXADMIN
  d.	Add a Focal Point (New Row):
  i.	e.g., ASSET
  ii.	Condition: (assetnum like '11430')
  e.	Generate Budget Lines
  f.	Save
  2.	Approve Budget
  3.	Repeat step 1 for asset 1001
  4.	Change Status: WAPPR
  5.	Repeat step 1 for asset 1002
  6.	Approve Budget
  7.	Open the Cron Task Setup application and the details for the
  Cron task (BUDGETUPD)
  a.	Change the schedule to 1 min
  b.	Active? Checked
  c.	Reload Request
  8.	Wait 1 min until the Cron Task runs then:
  a.	Active? Unchecked
  b.	Reload Request
  9.	Open the SystemOut log  the following error message is
  found:
  [2/21/23 13:53:31:143 GMT] 000009b6 SystemOut     O 21 Feb 2023
  13:53:31:143 [ERROR] [MAXIMO] [CID-CRON-442892] BMXAA9106E - The
  budget must be approved to update the budget lines.
  psdi.util.MXApplicationException: BMXAA9106E - The budget must
  be approved to update the budget lines.
  
  RESULT:
  Budget Cron task considered the waiting for approval record for
  Budget update.
  EXPECTED RESULT:
  Budget Cron task should not consider the waiting for approval
  record for Budget update.
  REPORTED IN VERSION:
  Tivoli's process automation engine 7.6.1.1
