IJ46391: ITCAM DB2 AGENT 7.16.00 HIGH CPU USAGE WHEN KUD_DIAGLOG_BY_TABLE SET TO N

Error description

• Problem Description:
  
  When DB2 agent is upgraded to 7.1.6-TIV-ITM_DB2-FP0000 the CPU
  usage can be higher than expected if variable
  KUD_DIAGLOG_BY_TABLE is set to N in ud.ini file. The agent log
  can be flooded with messages like:

  Problem Analysis:
  
  After reproducing and analyzing the issue in our environment, we
   found that when KUD_DIAGLOG_BY_TABLE is set to "N", the agent
  will read and parse diagnostic data from the db2diag.log file
  using libkududp, which is part of the agent factory and is
  causing the issue while reading data.
  

Local fix

• Workaround:
  
  Meanwhile, we recommend that customers choose one of the
  following approaches:
  
  1. Use SQL method to monitor DB2 Diagnostic Logs:
  
      i). Set KUD_DIAGLOG_BY_TABLE=Y in ud.ini file.
          Path to config file : candlehome/config/
      ii). After modifying the above file Restart the agent.
  
  2. Until we completely address this problem, customers may
  choose to use version 7.1.3 as an alternative.
