Error description
DESCRIPTION: The Quantity validation logic in Material tab is not correct when: There are multiple Material Line with same Item Number in WO Plans Tab There are actual quantities issued for this Item Number to the WO Maximo is incorrectly calculating the reservation quantity, or doing quantity validation from Material Line updates, that its assuming all actual issued quantity for the item is for the Material Line you are updating, even if the issue quantity is not relevant to the material line in question. STEPS TO REPRODUCE: I) Pre-Requisite 1. Login to Maximo 2. Go to Administration -> Organizations 3. Filter for and select the org 4. In More Actions, select Work Order Options -> Edit Rules 5. In the WP Materials? column, put a checkmark on the WMATL row 6. Click OK II) Create WO 1. Go to Work Orders -> Work Order Tacking 2. Click New (Copy WO number) 3. Click Plans tab 4. Click Materials sub-tab 5. Click New Row 6. In the Item Number field, enter 0-0031 7. In the Quantity field, enter 6 8. In the Storeroom field, select CENTRAL 9. Click New Row 10. In the Item Number field, enter 0-0031 11. In the Quantity field, enter 10 12. In the Storeroom field, select CENTRAL 13. Save 14. Change the Status to WMATL III)Creat Inv Usage 1. Go to Inventory -> Inventory Usage 2. Click New 3. In the Storeroom field, enter CENTRAL 4. Click on Select Reserved Items button 5. Filter for the Work Order from Step II.1 above 6. For the reservation with 10 items, issue 15 (over issue) IV) Modify WO 1. Go to Work Orders -> Work Order Tacking 2. Filter for and select the work order from Step II.1 above 3. Click on the Plans tab 4. Click on Materials sub-tab 5. Change the Quantity in Line 1 from 6 to 4 Expected behavior Current reservation for Material Line Item 1 is deleted and a new reservation is created with quantity 4 ACTUAL RESULTS: UI shows the following - "Error: The quantity cannot be less than what has been already issued. (BMXAA4642)" REPORTED IN VERSION: IBM Maximo Asset Management 7.6.1.2
