IJ46120: THE VALUE XXX IS NOT VALID FOR STOREROOM. SPECIFY A VALID VALUE FOR STOREROOM. (BMXAA4191)

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• If the storeroom value is entered first on a job plan and an
  item that exists in multiple storerooms is used, Maximo will
  change the value of the storeroom to the one that is first in
  the list. If the item status for the item in the storeroom is
  not active an error message is then thrown:
  
  The value XXX is not valid for Storeroom. Specify a valid value
  for Storeroom. (BMXAA4191)
  
  STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
  
  1. Create a new item and add the item to 4 storerooms of your
  choice with a 0 balance, for the 5th storeroom add it with a
  balance of 10, save and change the status to active. The item
  now resides in many storerooms but only has a balance for one of
  the storerooms.
  
  2. Query for the item in the inventory application and confirm
  the name of the storeroom showing first in the list, change the
  status of the item to obsolete for that storeroom.
  
  3. Create a new job plan record, move to the materials subtab
  and enter the name of the storeroom that has a balance, now
  enter the item number. Maximo will update the entered storeroom
  value to that of the first one in the list. Since the item is
  listed as obsolete in that storeroom the following error is
  thrown:
  
  The value XXX is not valid for Storeroom. Specify a valid value
  for Storeroom. (BMXAA4191)
  
  EXPECTED RESULTS:
  
  That the planned for item storeroom combination would have been
  used.
