Error description
Problem details: ================= When the ZEROPAD variable is activated, Maximo throws the "BMXAA4195E - A value is required for the Lot fields on the INVLOT object" error, when the user manually adds a second row in the Inventory Balances application. STEPS TO REPRODUCE: =================== 1. Enable the ZEROPAD variable. 2. Open Maximo and navigate to the Inventory application. 3. Retrieve an item from the application. 4. Add a new row in Inventory Balances. 5. Fill in the Bin and Current Balance. 6. Save the record - this works well. 7. Add another row in Inventory Balances, for the same item / storeroom combination - the error "BMXAA4195E - A value is required for the Lot field on the INVLOT object." is displayed. EXPECTED BEHAVIOUR: ==================== The user should be able to add new rows to the Inventory Balances application without getting the BMXAA4195E error. Reproduced On: ======================== Maximo 7.6.1.2

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: * * Maximo users * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: * * ZEROPAD GROWS IF AUTOKEY REQUIRES MULTIPLE TRIES TO FIND * * UNIQUE VALUE LEADING TO ERRORS SUCH AS "BMXAA4195E - A value * * is required for the Lot fields on the INVLOT object" when * * the user manually adds a second row in the Inventory * * Balances. * **************************************************************** Problem details: ================= When the ZEROPAD variable is activated, autokey will continue to prepend until a unique autokey value is found. If zeropad is "0000", one could end up with a key value of "0000000000001234" if the first two autokeys were found to be not unique. This could lead to additional errors, for example, "BMXAA4195E - A value is required for the Lot fields on the INVLOT object" when the user manually adds a second row in the Inventory Balances. EXPECTED BEHAVIOUR: ==================== ZEROPAD should not grow until a unique autokey is found.
