Error description
Incorrect balances result for child items on issue of the parent/child assets out of the storeroom via the Issue Current Item action in Inventory. Here are replication steps: 1.Go to Item Master create three item master records TESTITEM1, TESTITEM2 and TESTITEM3. Each item record has Rotating? checked, Condition Enabled? checked and Condition Code=9/16 TESTITEM2 and TESTITEM3 are then children of TESTITEM1 on Item Assembly Structure tab 2.Add all items to storeroom CENTRAL, Issue Unit=EACH, Order Unit=EACH 2.Change status of all items to ACTIVE, Roll New Status to Organizations and Inventory? checked 4.Go to Assets app and create three assets TESTAST1, TESTAST2 and TESTAST3 each asset record associated for Rotating Item TESTITEM1 TESTITEM2 and TESTITEM3, Condition Code=9/16 5.More Actions - Apply Item Assembly Structure 6.In the Apply Item Assembly Structure dialog box under Asset Hierarchy enter Asset=TESTAST2 for line 1 and Asset=TESTAST2 for line 2 Click OK on dialog box 7.On List view tab of Assets application recall three assets above 8.Change status to OPERATING, Roll New Status to All Child Assets? checked 9.Still in the Assets Application, List View tab, bring up Assets TESTAST1, TESTAST2, and TESTAST3 in list view, then select "Move/Modify" and enter the CENTRAL storeroom as the "To Location" for all 3 assets. Click "Ok" and all 3 assets are then moved to the storeroom CENTRAL. 10.Go to Inventory application and check the Inventory Balances data area for each item, TESTITEM1, TESTITEM2 and TESTITEM3, you will now have a Condition 9/16 bin row with balance of 1 for Items TESTITEM1, TESTITEM2, and TESTITEM3 11.Verify on the Rotating Asset tab for Items TESTITEM1, TESTITEM2, and TESTITEM3 and under each you will see the respective asset TESTAST1, TESTAST2 and TESTAST3 12.Now recall Item TESTITEM1 inventory record and select action "Issue Current Item", Rotating Asset=TESTAST1 and Location=REPAIR. Fill in GL Debit Account=6630-300-200 13.Select "Ok". RESULTS: All 3 assets, parent Asset TESTAST1 and children assets TESTAST2 and TESTAST3 are now in the REPAIR location. Now while the inventory records for TESTITEM1 will show 0 under Inventory Balances Current Balance (this is correct), Items TESTITEM2 and TESTITEM3 will still show a bin row with a balance of 1 under Inventory Balances Current Balance (this is incorrect). If you check the Rotating Assets tab for items TESTITEM2 and TESTITEM3, the Assets are no longer in the storeroom . Reported Version Tivoli's process automation engine 7.6.1.2
