APAR status

Error description

  • PROBLEM: Filter does not carry over in the child table when a
    different parent table record is selected
    
    
    STEPS TO REPLICATE:
    1. Go to Application designer application
    Open CALENDR
    Click Edit Dialogs, Select APPSHIFTS
    In Define/Apply shifts Dialog - Shift Pattern for {0} table, add
    a column (PATTERNDAYDOMAIN.DESCRIPTION)
    Save
    
    2. Go to Calendars application
    Create a Calendar (TESTCAL2)
    
    Set start date, end date
    Save
    
    3. Click More Actions-Define/Apply Shifts
    Create a row for shift
    Set Shift: 24X5
    
    Set Description: 24 Hours - 5 Days per week
    Set Start Day: Monday
    Set Days in Pattern: 5
    
    In Shift Pattern for 24X5,
    - Set Sequence of Pattern Day: 001
    
    Set Pattern Day: W
    
    Set Start Time/End Time: 12:00 AM
    
    Set Work Hours:24
    
    Set Description: General Working
    - Set Sequence of Pattern Day: 002
    
    Set Pattern Day: W
    
    Set Start Time/End Time: 12:00 AM
    
    Set Work Hours:24
    
    Set Description: General Working
    - Set Sequence of Pattern Day: 003
    
    Set Pattern Day: W
    
    Set Start Time/End Time: 12:00 AM
    
    Set Work Hours:24
    
    Set Description: General Working

    5. Highlight 24X5 shift
    
    In Shift Pattern for 24X5, filter with 'General' in Description
    
    It will filter correctly.
    Filter with 'test', no data is displayed
    Filter with 'General', data is displayed
    6. Highlight DAY shift
    
    
    RESULT: Previously entered filter value(General) remains and
    does not filter the records
    
    
    EXPECTED RESULT:  Previously entered filter value should be
    removed
    
    REPORTED IN VERSION: Tivoli's process automation engine 7.6.1.2
    
    
    AFFECTED APPLICATION (for Maximo Only):  Calendar application

Problem conclusion

  • The fix for this APAR is contained in the following maintenance
    package: release\fix pack for Release 8.x Product
    The solution is to leave the filter in place on the child table
    and apply it when the parent table record changes.
