IJ44901: IN WORK EXECUTION WORK CENTER METER READING WITH A DECIMAL VALUE CANNOT BE ENTERED IF THE DECIMAL SEPARATOR IS COMMA

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When the Locale is a language with decimal separator comma, a
  meter reading with decimal value ignores the decimal separator
  if language is English or cannot be saved if the language is one
  that has comma as decimal separator.
  STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
  1.	In Maximo click Profile > Default Information and select:
  a.	Language: EN
  b.	Locale: de_DE
  c.	Log out and log in
  2.	Open the Assets application and search an asset with a
  CONTINUOUS meter: 11430, meter RUNHOURS, Last Reading: e.g.,
  5471
  3.	Open the Work Order Tracking application and click to create
  a new work order
  a.	Description: WO meter reading
  b.	Asset: 11430
  c.	Save
  d.	Click Take Ownership
  4.	Open the Work Execution work center
  5.	Open the details for the work order just created
  6.	Scroll to asset meter reading
  7.	Click to enter a new meter reading: it is only possible to
  enter 1.5 not 1,5
  8.	Select Delta, then Save  the decimal separator is ignored,
  the new value of the meter is 5.486 (5471+15)
  
  9.	In an environment with a second language having decimal
  separator comma, in Maximo click Profile > Default Information
  and select:
  a.	Language: e.g., FR
  b.	Locale: fr_FR
  10.	Repeat the steps 2-7
  
  11.	Select Delta, then Save  an error message is displayed
  requesting a value with decimal valid
  RESULT:
  Meter reading is either incorrect or cannot be entered
  EXPECTED RESULT:
  It should be possible to enter meter reading
  REPORTED IN VERSION:
  Tivoli's process automation engine 7.6.1.1
