IJ44894: WHEN TRYING TO DO "DELETE QUEUE DATA" IN EXTERNAL SYSTEM APPLICATION, THE FOLLOWING ERROR OCCURS: "BMXAA1580E - A JAVA MESSAGE

APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • PROBLEM: When trying to do "Delete Queue Data" in External
    System application, the following error occurs:  "BMXAA1580E - A
    Java Message System (JMS) error occurred. Check the JMS setup in
    the administrator console for the server"
    
    
    STEPS TO REPLICATE:
    1. Go to External systems application
    Find EXTSYS1
    
    2. Click Enterprise Services tab
    Find MXASSETInterface
    For testing, Have Use Continuous Queue? unchecked.
    
    3. Prepare xml to import. (data should cause an error)
    
    4. Actions/Import - Select a file to import - Select Preview
    You will get an error
    
    
    5. Actions/Import - Select a file to import
    
    6. Wait until JMSQSEQCONSUMER.SEQQIN crontask instance runs.
    In log, you will get an error
    
    e.g. 18 Nov 2022 04:35:58:843 [ERROR] [MXServer]
    [CID-CRON-78673] BMXAA6695E - The MBO could not be batch
    validated for object ASSET.
    
    7. Go to External System application
    
    8. More Actions- Add/Modify Queues in order to delete message
    stuck in sqin queue
    Select jms/maximo/int/queues/sqin
    
    Actions/Delete Queue Data
    
    
    
    RESULT: Error "BMXAA1580E - A Java Message System (JMS) error
    occurred. Check the JMS setup in the administrator console for
    the server."
    
    
    EXPECTED RESULT:  No error
    
    REPORTED IN VERSION: Manage 8.4.X
