IJ44740: AUTOKEY ISSUE IN ITEM MASTER APPLICATION

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• In Item Master application when an Item number generated from an
  Autokey is changed to a value containing characters, if for the
  same value of the autokey, but a different ItemSet, there is
  already an item in inventory with Economic Order Quantity 0, the
  item cannot be saved. Error received: "BMXAA1847E - The reorder
  quantity must be greater than zero."
  
  STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
  1.	Open the Database Configuration application and the details
  for ITEM object
  a.	Click on tab Attributes and filter the attribute ITEMNUM
  b.	Can Autonumber? should be checked
  c.	Default Value: &AUTOKEY&
  d.	If any change was made Save and then Apply Configuration
  Changes
  2.	Open the Organizations application and the details for
  EAGLENA organization
  a.	Click on Autonumber Setup > Set Level
  b.	Take a note of the Seed for ITEMNUM, SET1, e.g., 1008
  c.	Go on List View and open the details for EAGLESA organization
  
  d.	Click on Autonumber Setup > Set Level
  e.	Take a note of the Seed for ITEMNUM, SET2, e.g., 1002
  3.	Open Default Information and check if Default Insert Site is
  BEDFORD
  4.	Open the Item Master application and click to create a new
  item:
  a.	Item: 1009 (as per the autokey number)
  b.	Save
  c.	Click Add Items to Storeroom
  d.	Enter the Storeroom CENTRAL then click OK
  e.	Enter Issue Unit and Order Unit: EACH then click OK
  f.	Click Change Status and select the New Status Active
  g.	Roll New Status to Organizations and Inventory? checked
  h.	 Click OK
  5.	With an SQL tool run the following: update inventory set
  orderqty=0 where ITEMNUM = '1009'
  6.	Open Default Information and change the Default Insert Site
  to a site from EAGLESA organization, e.g., CHILEHDQ
  7.	Open the Item Master application and click to create a new
  item:
  a.	Item: 1002 (as per the autokey number)
  b.	Save
  c.	Repeat steps a-b until Item: 1009
  d.	Change the Item number to TEST1009
  e.	Save  an error message is displayed: "BMXAA1847E - The
  reorder quantity must be greater than zero."
  RESULT:
  The item cannot be created
  EXPECTED RESULT:
  The item should be created

  Tivoli's process automation engine 7.6.1.2
