Error description

• Description:
  Duplicate spareparts are not displayed in ASSET from ASSET
  template sparepart item
  
  STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
  
  1. Login to Maximo as maxadmin
  2. Go to Asset Templates application and create a new Asset
  Template --> TEST
  3. Go to Spare Parts tab and add a new Spare Part (560-00)
  4. Save the record and Change Status to Active
  
  5. Common Actions --> Generate New Assets
  Site: Bedford
  Qty: 1
  
  6. Click on Generate Assets
  Asset 2113 is created.
  
  7. Click ok on the Dialog box.
  
  8. Go to Assets --> 2113 --> Spare Parts tab
  Spare Part 560-00 is displayed.
  
  9. Go back to Asset Template TEST and add a new spare part
  Spare Part: 117084, Qty: 5 (Amended by Eleri as per customer
  document)
  Remarks: Test
  
  10. Common Action --> Apply to Existing Assets
  Site: Bedford
  
  11. Click on Select Asset button --> 2113 --> Click ok on the
  dialog box.
  
  12. Go to Assets --> 2113 --> Spare Parts tab
  Spare Part: 117084; Remarks: Test is displayed
  
  13. Go back to Asset Template TEST and add a new spare part

  Remarks: Test Test
  
  14. Common Action --> Apply to Existing Assets

Problem conclusion

• The fix for this APAR is contained in the following maintenance
  package: release\fix pack for Release 8.6 Product.
  The following fix will work as expected for the Spare-parts
  created from asset template from the point this fix is applied
  in Maximo. For old Data (i.e., previous created spare parts from
  asset template it will work as it was working before fixing this
  APAR), as this Fix involves creation of a new attribute in
  SPAREPART object which takes the ID of Asset Template spare part
  to fix the issue.
  Note:
  For this to work for old data that attribute needs to be
  populated with the correct Asset Template Spare Part ID from
  which the Spare part was created.
