Error description

  • PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
    The filtering by Start Date value in the View Assigned Work
    dialog is showing WOs with Assignments on that same date in the
    Maximo Servers time.
    It is not filtering by the Date in the Maximo Users Timezone
    (specified in their Maximo Profile/Default Information) and as a
    result, some records might not be displayed.

    STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
    * Use a Maximo environment where the application server is in
    the UTC timezone.

    * Log in as user Maxadmin
    * Go to Profile / Default Information.
    * Set Timezone = (GMT +10 DST/Y) Canberra, Melbourne, Sydney
    * Go to Crew Types application.
    * Create at last one record and save.
    * Go to Crews application.
    * Create one record with that Crew Type, assign a Calendar and
    Shift and save.
    * Crews Status = ACTIVE
    * Go to Work Order Tracking application.
    * Create a new WO.
    * Enter with Scheduled Start = 6.00am 2 days from now and
    Duration = 3 hours.
    * Go to Assignments tab, add a new row.
    * Scheduled Start is already populated with value from WO.
    * in Crew field, add the newly-created Crew and save WO.
    * Create a second WO but enter Scheduled Start = same date but
    with 4.00PM instead
    * Save the WO.
    * Go to Crews application.
    * Select the Crew record.
    * Go to option View / Work Orders: the View Assigned Work
    dialog opens.
    * The 2 WOs show in the table.
    * Go to Start Date field and enter the same date that was
    previously entered on the Scheduled Start field.
    * Click Refresh. The End Date displays the same date as Start
    Date.
    * The table below these is now only showing the 2nd WO and does
    not display the 1st WO any more.

    RESULTS:
    The first WO is not displayed in the View Assigned Work dialog
    because it has a Scheduled Start date-time with 6.00AM Sydney
    time, which is 7.00PM on the previous day in UTC time. ON the
    other hand, the second WO has a Scheduled Start date-time with
    4.00PM Sydney time, which is 5.00AM on the same day in UTC time
    and is correctly displayed in the View Assigned Work dialog.
    The filtering by Start Date value in the View Assigned Work
    dialog is showing WOs with Assignments on that same date in the
    Maximo Servers time.
    It is not filtering by the Date in the Maximo Users Timezone
    (specified in their Maximo Profile/Default Information) and as a
    result, some records might not be displayed (such as in this
    scenario).

    EXPECTED RESULTS:

    All Work Orders should be displayed View Assigned Work
    dialog, regardless of whether there is a time difference or not
    between the application server and the users respective
    timezones.

    REPORTED IN VERSION:
    Maximo TPAE 7.6.1.1
