Error description

  • PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
    
    BMXAA8229W - Record INVRESERVE : has been updated by another
    user. Your changes have not been saved. Refresh the record and
    try again.
    Maximo recently upgraded to 7.6.1.2 IFIX014 and issue seems to
    have cropped up after that. The issue is happening during
    receiving payload to update MATUSETRANS object.
    
    STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
    
    (1). Create a work order record with item = 10112 and counts 50
    on Plans -- Materials tab.
    (2). Approve the Work order
    (3). On Work Order Tracking application Actuals > Materials >
    "Select Reserved Items" button > select item = 10112.
    (4). Set quantity: 10
    (5). These actions will create the records in invreserve and
    matusetrans tables
    (6). Go to External System application
    - Open EXTSYS1 > Enterprise Service tab > MXINVISSUEInterface
    - Import the XML file below (Import Preview is ticked):

    Maximo shows the below error:
    BMXAA8229W - Record INVRESERVE : Site=BEDFORD Request=1179 has
    been updated by another user. Your changes have not been saved.
    Refresh the record and try again.
    
    (7). If I delete the below attribute in the above file, Import
    is successful.
    <REQUESTNUM>1179</REQUESTNUM>
    
    (8). But there is Maximo property
    'mxe.app.inventor.updateReservations' set to 1 on the client
    side.
    Importing the above file with the system property set to 1. Even
    if deleting the <REQUESTNUM> attribute, Maximo still shows the
    error:
    BMXAA8229W - Record INVRESERVE : Site=BEDFORD Request=1179 has
    been updated by another user. Your changes have not been saved.
    Refresh the record and try again.
    
    ACTUAL BEHAVIOR:
    Error is logged:
    BMXAA8229W - Record INVRESERVE : has been updated by another
    user. Your changes have not been saved. Refresh the record and
    try again.
    
    EXPECTED BEHAVIOR:
    
    No error message.
