  • Executing the tacmd tepslogin displays a Informational (I)
from the apache logging class similar to the following.

Detailed Recreation Procedure:

 Install  Tivoli Enterprise Services User Interface Extensions
Version: 06.30.07.14

 Execute the command

 tacmd tepslogin -s http://hostname:15200 -u sysadmin  -p
password

 Observe the following Informational message from the apache log
class appearing between the KUICTL001I and KUIC00007I
Informational messages.

KUICTL001I Validating user credentials...

  • Added a JVM System Property to disable apache logging to the
screen


The fix for this APAR is contained in the following maintenance

Temporary fix


    

  • Edit the %Candle_Home%\BIN\KUIENV (Windows) or
$CANDLEHOME/bin/tacmd (Unix/Linux) file adding the following
text line:
Unix/Linux

KUI_JAVA_PARMS=-Dorg.apache.commons.logging.Log=org.apache.commo
ns.logging.impl.NoOpLog
Windows
KUI_JAVA_PARMS=-Dorg.apache.commons.logging.Log=org.apache.commo
ns.logging.impl.NoOpLog

Alternatively, the environment variable KUI_JAVA_PARMS can be
set prior to entering the command tacmd tepslogin.
