APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • With MAXHISTRECS being lower than the number of history records
    available a MAXRECORDS warning message is returned from CPSM for
    Completed Tasks history in CICS Explorer request. This
    MAXRECORDS warning is preventing any records from being shown in
    CICS Explorer. It returns only MAXRECORDS warning message.

Problem summary

  • When the MAXHISTRECS is less than the number of history records
    available, a MAXRECORDS warning message is returned from CPSM
    for Completed Tasks history in CICS Explorer request.  This
    warning message then prevents any records from being shown in
    CICS Explorer, with only the MAXRECORDS warning message is
    returned.  CICS Explorer does not recognize the MAXRECORDS
    warning message as an acceptable response and does not continue
    to request and display the available data.
    

Problem conclusion

  • When the CMCI returns a MAXRECORDS warning, CICS Explorer now
    accepts this warning as an acceptable response.  The available
    data is then requested and displayed with the user now able to
    understand from the messages displayed that the result set was
    not complete.

    This fix will be made available in Version 5.5.26 (32.0.1) of
    the CICS Explorer.
