IJ41629: HIDDEN DATA RESTRICTIONS DESCRIPTION INFORMATION STILL DISPLAYED FROM LOCATION

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Maximo Assets  connected to Location which are connected to
  customer record where there is no access given to user, however,
  you can see there is xxxxxx values on (Description) information
  from Locations when selecting   Select record   information from
  Location.
  
  NOTE; - The issue is not specific to Maximo Service Provider
  Industry Solution add-on and can be reproduced in Maximo TPAE
  core as described below:
  
  1- Go to Security Groups application, create a new group and
  save.
  
  Group: TEST10
  Start Center Template: 36   Asset Manager
  
  2- In Applications tab, search for Asset application and click
  at the Grant Listed Options for this
  
  Application and save.
  
  3- In Data Restrictions tab, Object Restrictions subtab click on
  New Row button and set the values
  
  below. Save the record.
  
  4- In Users tab, click on Select Users. Select HUNTER user and
  save.
  
  5- Go to Locations app and create a new record with a
  description and change status to Active.
  
  6- Go to Assets application and create a new record adding the
  Location previously created and
  
  change status to Active.
  
  7- Now, login as HUNTER user and go to Assets application.
  
  8- Filter for Location and Site and click for search
  
  Location: =LOC1
  Site: =BEDFORD
  
  9- Tick Select Record, you will see the hidden information
  
  UNEXPECTED RESULTS: The Description information from Location
  becomes visible.
  
  EXPECTED RESULTS: Description should remain hidden with xxxxxx
  values.
