Error description

  • ERROR DESCRIPTION:

Attribute Search in Locations is returning a value that does not
    meet the criteria.

    PROBLEM:

Attribute Search in Locations is returning a value that does not
    meet the criteria.

Result is coming back with extra data that does not even have
location spec attribute of 'R BASE'

Looking at the Query it is building, it is using location based
on below criteria and since Location is only unique to a Site,
result is also including locations from other sites with same
location even though they do not have that attribute at all.

    -- QUERY
(location in (select a.location from locations a, locationspec
    locspec where locspec.location=a.location and locspec.siteid =
    a.siteid and a.classstructureid=locspec.classstructureid and
    (locspec.assetattrid= 'R BASE' and upper(locspec.alnvalue) like
    '%Y%'))) and (type in ( 'COURIER' , 'HOLDING' , 'LABOR' ,
    'OPERATING' , 'REPAIR' , 'SALVAGE' , 'VENDOR' ))

    PERFORMANCE ISSUE: No.

    STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

    From Classifications application:
    QUERYTEST classification.
    Use with LOCATIONS.
Add attribute 'R BASE' as ALN.

    From Locations application:
Location1 on site BEDFORD with spec attribute R BASE set to Y.
    Location1 on site FLEET.

Step 1: Go To Locations Application
Step 2: On Advance Search > Click on Attribute Search
Step 3: Click New row > Pick an attribute (Example: R BASE)
Step 4: Set the value to Search (Example: Y)
    Step 5: Click on Find.

    CURRENT ERRONEOUS RESULT:

Attribute Search in Locations is returning a value that does not
    meet the criteria.

    EXPECTED RESULT:

The result should only include data that matches the search
    criteria.
