APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • PROBLEM:
    Graphical Resource View - Modify Availability box shows a
    different hour calculation than the calendar; and therefore
    displays error "BMXAT1095E - The unavailable hours that you
    entered exceeds the expected work hours for the selected date."
    when setting a date to non-work hours.
    
    STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
    1. In the Calendars application, set up a Calendar with the
    following shift pattern (Define/Apply Shifts):
    (7 day pattern starting on Monday)
    Sequence - Start Time - End Time - Work Hours
    001 - 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM - 9:00
    002 - 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM - 9:00
    003 - 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM - 9:00
    004 - 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM - 9:00
    005 - 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM - 9:00
    006 - 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM - 9:00
    007 - 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM - 8:00
    2. Click Apply Shifts > OK
    3. In the Labor application, tie a labour to your calendar (Set
    Calendar and Shift)
    4. In Graphical Resource View, create a new resource list and
    set your Calendar and Shift under the Resource tab.
    5. Go to the Graphical View tab.
    6. Click the dropdown for REASON CODE > select NON-WORK
    7. Double click any of the shifts to tag them out as
    non-working.
    
    RESULTS:
    Any of the Monday through Saturday shifts (9-6) take the
    non-working reason code with no issue but the Sunday 9-5:30
    throws an error BMXAT1095E - The unavailable hours that you
    entered exceeds the expected work hours for the selected date.
    and displays 8:30 as hours.
    
    EXPECTED RESULTS:
    The Modify Availability dialogue should display working hours as
    reflected in the calendar rather than calculate it itself based
    on Shift start and end times.

Local fix

  • Workaround to adjust end time in Modify Availability dialogue
    box to allow for enough hours to set non-working time that
    matches calendar availability.
