IJ40265: TOTAL INCORRECT IN BUDGET LINES WHEN THE BUDGET AMOUNT IS MORE THAN 10 DIGITS

APAR status

Error description

• PROBLEM:
  Total is calculated wrongly in Budget Lines area in Budget
  Monitoring Application when the length of the amount fields is
  increased from (10,2) to (16,2). This issue occurs when the
  budget amount is more than 10 digits.
  
  STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
  1. In Database Application Click on ?Field Length and Format?
  from more actions menu.
  2. In the popup, change the Amount Length to 16 and Amount Scale
  to 2.
  3. Set Admin mode On and then Apply Configuration Changes then
  turn off Admin mode.
  4. Go to Budget Monitoring, create new budget and generate
  Budget Lines.
  5. Expand the Budget line and provide values more than 10 digits
  for Internal Labor Amount (50,000,000,000.00), External Labor
  Amount (20,000,000,000.00, Direct Material Amount
  (50,000,000,000.00), Shared Material Amount (20,000,000,000.00)
  Service Amount (50,000,000,000.00), Tool Amount
  (20,000,000,000.00).
  
  6. Save the record and check the total values.
  
  RESULTS:
  The total values are incorrect.
  
  EXPECTED RESULTS:
  The total values should be added up correctly.
