APAR status

Error description

  • PROBLEM:
    Graphical Resource View is not displaying data
    From research - Shift patterns outside multiples of 7 (and
    including 7) were found to cause the issue of Graphical View now
    displaying data.
    Reproduced in 7.6.1.2 - Graphical Resource View
    
    STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
    
    CALENDAR APPLICATION
    ---
    1. Create a new Calendar
    2. Set the start date to today and the end date to a year from
    now
    3. From the More Actions Menu - click "Define/Apply Shifts"
    4. New Row - Name and set Start Day to MONDAY (as an example)
    5. Set Days in Pattern - set to 5
    6. Click "Define Pattern"
    7. Fill in the chart in the Define Pattern window with Start
    time of 8:00AM and End time of 4:00PM for each day listed >
    click OK
    8. Back in the Define/Apply Shifts window, check the box beside
    the shift you just created and click "Apply Shifts" > In the
    Apply Shifts with Range window, click OK
    9. Back in the Define/Apply Shifts window, click OK
    Note: the shifts should now be listed day-by-day in your
    calendar
    
    LABOR APPLICATION
    ---
    1. Create a New Labor
    2. Scroll Down to the "Personal" section add your Calendar and
    Shift
    3. Enter a First and Last name
    4. Go to the Crafts tab
    5. Create a new row and select a Craft from the Select Value
    list
    
    GRAPHICAL RESOURCE VIEW APPLICATION
    ---
    1. Create a new Graphical Resource List
    2. Select your Calendar from the Select Value list
    3. Select your Shift from the Select Value list
    4. Click on the Graphical View Tab
    Note: no resources are populated
    
    RESULTS:
    When a shift pattern outside a multiple of 7 is used, the
    Graphical View Tab within the Graphical Resource View
    Application comes up blank with no resources listed.  The date
    ribbon is displayed but no data is shown underneath.
    
    EXPECTED RESULTS:
    Expect to see the date ribbon and the labour resources
    displayed.

Local fix

  • Adjust shift pattern to fit a multiple of 7 - can leave working
    hours blank on days off.
