Error description

  • On the Assets application for a linear asset and on the
Features tab, using the Go To Features action will not always
find the feature with the same name.

When you navigate to the Features application it should only be
querying by the Feature and not all the other clauses.

There is a reason why a feature record is found in the Features
application when you navigate there is because both FEATURES and
ASSETFEATURE objects have the same attributes and it is only
showing a record if, for example, Is Reference Point
(ISLINEARREF) has the same value in both object records. But
there is no business reason for this to be the case; Maximo
allows you to change the values for these fields on the Asset
Feature - why should that mean you cannot see the original
Feature record in the Features application? - The answer is
    there is No Reason.

    STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

    1. Take any Linear Asset that has an existing Feature

i.e. On MaxDemo - Asset: I-95N that uses Features: MP and
    GUARDRAIL

    2. Use Go To Features. It is likely to find the Feature.

    3. In Assets module-> Features application, look at the Where
Clause, it might be something like:
    ((islinearref = 1 and shared = 1 and feature = 'MP')) and (1=1)

    4. To test pick any Asset Feature which has "Shared With Related
    Assets" check enabled.

    5. Check that you can navigate to Features application.

    6. Now remove the check on "Shared With Related Assets"

UNEXPECTED RESULTS: You can no longer navigate to the Features
    application and find the record.

EXPECTED RESULTS: The Go To Features should only be using the
    key field FEATURESID to navigate.

ENVIRONMENT: IBM Maximo Linear Management 7.6.1.0
