IJ40119: THE REORDER PROCESS DOES NOT CHECK POS WITH PNDREV STATUS, AND REORDERS SAME ITEM AGAIN

APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • An item included in a purchase order in PNDREV status is
    reordered again.
    STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
    1. Login to Maximo
    
    2. Go to Inventory application
    3. Bring up ITEM S-546 central storeroom
    4. From Action menu Reorder Items
    5. Make sure Run in Background Mode? field is not checked
    6. Click on Preview just to verify that it will reorder and if
    there is information in popup window click on Run Reorder
    7. Take Note of the purchase requisition (PR) number e.g.: PRs
    Generated From:1184
    
    8. Go to the Purchase Requisitions application and bring up the
    PR 1184
    9. Change Status to APPR
    10. Go to Purchase Orders application
    11. Bring up any approved purchase order (PO) with revision 0,
    e.g. 1057
    12. From the Action Menu Revise the PO
    13. At this time you should have PO 1057 revision 0 status APPR
    and PO 1057 revision 1 status PNDREV
    14. From the Action menu/ click on Copy PR Line Items to PO
    15. Select the PR 1184 and add it to the PO 1057 .
    16. Go To Inventory application
    17. Bring up item S-546 central storeroom
    18. Run reorder against that item again - it will create another
    PR #1185 which is the issue at hand
    RESULT:
    The reorder process creates another PR for an item included in a
    PO in PNDREV status
    EXPECTED RESULT:
    The reorder process should be looking at PNDREV status and with
    that the reorder process should not continue to reorder that
    item.
