IJ39601: USERS ARE NOT ABLE TO ENTER SEVERAL FUEL ISSUE TRANSACTIONS FOR SAME ASSET USING SAME ACTUAL DATE

APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When trying to save multiple fuel issues on the same asset, on
    the same day, in the same fuel issues transaction, System
    Message "BMXAA8229W - Record ASSETMETER : Asset=163
    Meter=UNLEADED Site=MTRPOOL Linear Specification Id=0 has been
    updated by another user. Your changes have not been saved.
    Refresh the record and try again." is received when the Save
    Transaction Toolbar Button is Clicked.
    
    STEPS TO REPLICATE
    
    
    
    1. Go to Assets > Meters, Create a new meter
    
    a. Name Meter: WATER
    
    b. Meter Type: CONTINUOUS
    
    c. Reading Type:DELTA
    
    d. Unit of Measure: LTRS
    
    
    
    2. Go to Inventory > Create a new item in Item Master.
    
    a. Item Name: NEW GRIND WATER
    
    b. Item Description: NEW GRIND WATER
    
    c. Meter: WATER
    
    d. Issue Unit: LTRS
    
    e. Order Unit: LTRS
    
    f. Status: Change to ACTIVE, place checkmark in checkbox, Roll
    New Status to Organizations and Inventory?
    
    
    
    3. Add the item to Storeroom CENTRAL, Unit Cost=2.25, Current
    Balance=10000
    
    
    
    4. Go to Assets app. Insert new asset number DR79231
    
    a. Add a Meter against the Asset
    
    b. Select New Row, add Meter=WATER
    
    c. Average Calculation Method: ALL
    
    d. Accept Roll down: Select ASSET
    
    
    
    5. Go To> Inventory > Inventory Usage and insert new record,
    Storeroom=CENTRAL
    
    6. Select New Row > add item NEWGRINDWATER. Add asset number
    
    DR79231 (meter, issue, quantity and GL details populate). Enter
    a Debit GL Account. Update the Actual Date, put the time about 5
    minutes behind the auto populated date/time but after the time
    for the meter start date
    
    Click New Row again > add item NEWGRINDWATER. Add asset number
    
    DR79231. Enter a Debit GL Account
    
    (meter, issue, quantity and GL details populate). Leave the
    Actual Date that auto populates)
    
    7. Press SAVE button in toolbar then Change status to COMPLETE
    
    
    RESULTS
    
    The error message will be thrown:
    
    "BMXAA8229W - Record ASSETMETER : Asset=DR79231 Meter=WATER
    Site=BEDFORD Linear Specification Id=0 has been updated by
    another user. Your changes have not been saved. Refresh the
    record and try again."
    
    
    EXPECTED RESULTS:
    Several transactions for the same asset on same day should be
    allowed
