APAR status

Error description

  • DESCRIPTION:
    Select Action(More Action) Menu and "Synchronous Message
    Tracking" cannot be seen in the Message Tracking application
    with mxe.webclient.systemNavBar set to 0.
    
    STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
    1) First, observe the default behaviour of the application.
    (i) Go to System Configuration; Platform Configuration; System
    Properties.
    (ii) Ensure the property: mxe.webclient.systemNavBar is having
    the value set as 1.
    
    2) Go to Integration; Message Tracking Application;
    (i) Observe you see the option "Synchronous Message Tracking"
    under More Actions.
    
    3) Now, reproduce the issue. Go to System Configuration;
    Platform Configuration; System Properties.
    (i) Set the property: mxe.webclient.systemNavBar to the value 0.
    Perform Live refresh. Logout.
    
    4) Login and Go to Integration; Message Tracking Application;
    (i) Observe the More Actions Menu is missing and we cannot see
    the "Synchronous Message Tracking" as well.
    
    
    RESULT:
    
    "Synchronous Message Tracking" option cannot be seen.
    
    EXPECTED RESULT:
    
    More Actions(Select Actions) Menu to be shown having the
    option: "Synchronous Message Tracking".
    
    
    REPORTED IN VERSION:
    Tivoli's process automation engine 7.6.1.2
    IBM Tpae Integration Framework 7.6.1.2
    

Local fix

  • 1) Go to System Configuration; Platform Configuration;
    Application Designer; Application: INTMSGTRK
    (i) From the menu icons, look for the option for "Export
    Application Definition". Perform the export. Save it. Take a
    backup of this saved file for reference.
    
    (ii) Edit this intmsgtrk.xml file.
    
    Replace <include id="pageHeaderNoAction" />
    with
    <include id="pageHeader" />
    Save the file
    2) Perform the Import of this modified xml file in the
    Application Designer using the menu icon for "Import Application
    Definition". Logout
    3) Login and Go to Integration; Message Tracking Application;
    Observe Select Action menu is visible and has the option:
    "Synchronous Message Tracking".
