APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When an inspection form includes a text response field and the
    inspector fills in the comments in the form, the comments are
    cut off and show an ellipsis (...) when viewing the inspection
    report on a mobile device.  If the mobile device is a tablet,
    there is not a way to hover over the field to see the full text.
    
    
    STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
    
    1) Open the Conduct an Inspection application on the device
    
    2) Complete any Inspection and fill the Additional Comments form
    with a long text
    Create an unscheduled inspection for an asset or location
    Uncheck "Recommended" option
    Choose Portable Ladder Inspection - This is one of the shorter
    forms and at the end (in the non-mandatory question) there is a
    text field to be filled out.
    
    
    3) Complete the inspection above.
    
    4) Go to the Completed Inspection tab and try to read the text
    on the text field (Last non-required question "List any defects
    found")
    
    Result: The text will be cut and it's not possible to see on the
    mobile device, only on the desktop by putting the cursor above
    the field.
    
    
    
    
    Expected Results: It should be possible to see all the text
    automatically without having to drag the text.

Problem conclusion

  • Users will able to see all the text responses. If text-response
    is long , it will be shown in text-area.
