APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • PROBLEM:
    When revising a contract that was previously approved, received
    error BMXAA4210E ? Database error for Invalid sequence when
    revising a contract when saving the record.  Revising the
    contract either by updating to data or changing the status upon
    Save causes the error to display but the updates are applied
    successfully.
    
    STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
    1. Move to the Warranty Contracts application
    2. Create a new contract
    3. Populate the vendor field
    4. Move to the Contract Lines tab
    5. Under Contact Lines select the New Row button
    6. Enter in the required information (Item description,
    Duration, Time Unit)
    7. Under More Actions select Authorize Sites
    8. Select the Bedford site and select the OK button
    9. Change the status of the Contract to APPR
    10. Move to the Associated Assets tab
    11. Under the Assets/Locations section select the New Row button
    
    12. Populate the Asset field
    13. Save the Contract
    14. Under More Actions select Revise Contract
    15. Populate the description field and select the OK button
    16. In the Revise contract that was just created, change the
    status to APPR
    17. Under More Actions select Revise Contract again (the
    revision number should be 2)
    18. Populate the description field and select the OK button
    
    
    Expected Results:
    The contract should be revised successfully
    
    Results:
    Error BMXAA4210E - Database error number 17274 has occurred.
    Invalid SQL queries are logged in the log file gets thrown when
    attempting to revise the contract
