IJ37234: MOVING AN ASSET THROUGH THE WORK ORDER TRACKING APPLICATION BYPASSES THE LOCATION ITEM RULE

Error description

• PROBLEM:  Moving an asset through the Work Order tracking
  application bypasses the location item rule
  
  STEPS TO REPLICATE:
  1. Go to Item Master application
  Ensure ALLIN1 has HPLASER as alternate item
  Ensure LASER-PRT does not have an alternate item
  2. Go to Purchase Order application
  Create a PO (1236)
  In PO Lines Tab, Click New Row
  Set Item: HPLASER
  Set Quantity: 3
  Set Storeroom: CENTRAL
  Save
  Approve
  3. Go to Receiving application
  Open 1236
  Receive rotating item (Enter rotating assets: GJHPLZR1,
  GJHPLZR2, GJHPLZR3)
  GJHPLZR1, GJHPLZR2, GJHPLZR3 rotating assets will be created
  4. Go to Work Order Tracking application
  Create a work order: 17202
  Set location: REPAIR
  Approve
  Go to Actuals/Material Tab - new row
  Set item: HPLASER
  Set Storeroom: CENTRAL
  Set rotating asset: GJHPLZR1
  Now, GJHPLZR1 is under REPAIR location
  5. Go to Locations application
  Create a location: GJLOC1 (having ALLIN1 rotating item) -
  associate with PRIMARY system + NEEDHAM parent
  Create a location: GJLOC2 (having LASER-PRT rotating item) -
  associate with PRIMARY system + NEEDHAM parent
  6. Go to Asset application
  Open GJHPLZR1
  More Action - Move/Modify Assets
  Move GJHPLZR1 to GJLOC2
  Got error: BMXAA0139E - Asset item HPLASER does not match
  location item LASER-PRT and is not an alternate item.
  7. Go to Asset application
  Open GJHPLZR1 (currently in REPAIR location)
  More Action - Move/Modify Assets - Move back to CENTRAL
  location
  8. Go to Work Order Tracking application
  Create a Work Order (17203)
  Set Location: GJLOC2
  Approve
  9. Click Actuals/Materials Tab - new row
  Set Item: HPLASER
  Set Storeroom: CENTRAL
  Set rotating asset: GJHPLZR1
  Save
  
  RESULTS:  GJHPLZR1 asset will be moved to GJLOC2 without error
  
  EXPECTED RESULT:  BMXAA0139E should occur the same as in step
  6.
  
  REPORTED IN VERSION: Tivoli's process automation engine 7.6.1.2
  
  AFFECTED APPLICATION (for Maximo Only): Work Order Tracking
  application and Inventory Usage application.
