IJ37160: 7612 ERROR APPEARS WHEN TRYING TO USE PRINT WITH ATTACHMENTS FOR ATTACHMENTS THAT CONTAIN SPECIAL CHARACTERS IN THE FILENAME

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  
  After applying iFix013 you can no longer use print with
  attachments for files that contain special characters such as
  ampersand (&) and percent (%) in the filename.
  Process will start and an error window will appear showing
  
  
  xxxx.maximo.com:9080 says
  
  Errors encountered. For details of the error note current time
  and ask your system admin to check server log.  Error:ERROR:
  Could not open the attached file. Make sure that the file can be
  opened through UI.
  
  Error happens regardless of the secured attachment property
  setting
  
  STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
  You will need a 7612 environment that has iFix013 and has
  attachments configured
  go to assets application
  
  select an asset - 13150
  Attach a standard file name such as myfile.txt
  Ensure you can view this file in the UI (to prove that
  attachments are configured correctly)
  Attach a file that includes an & in the name - My&file.txt
  try print with attachments
  confirm that you wish to print the attachment along with the
  report
  record pack is being prepared message appears
  Error popup appears (Could not open attached file)
  
  remove the My&file.txt from this asset
  try print with attachments
  confirm that you wish to print the attachment along with the
  report
  record pack is being prepared message appears
  completes normally, record pack ready for download/print
