IJ37076: USER LICENSE TYPE CHANGED FROM EXPCONCURRENT TO CONCURRENT IF ADDING READ ACCESS TO AWADMIN APPLICATION

Error description

• PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  
  
  To an Express Concurrent user, Adding READ access to AWADMIN
  application incorrectly changes the user to CONCURRENT.
  
  STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
  
  Set up:
  
  (1). To test this, ANYWHERE needs to be installed, but ANYWHERE
  device is not needed.
  
  (2). Token server is not required to test this.
  (3). Token licensing is configured
  (https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/node/6234000), especially:
  (3-1). The Token Licenses tab is enabled in User's application
  (3-2). Token licensing Setup-> Manage Products, has the
  following:
  
  IBM Maximo Asset Management CONCURRENT
  IBM Maximo Asset Management LIMCONCURRENT
  IBM Maximo Asset Management EXPCONCURRENT
  IBM Maximo Anywhere CONCURRENT
  (3-3). The UserAnalyzer cron task (Data Collection Settings) is
  set to run in a frequency suitable for testing (eg. 5 mins)
  
  1- In Users application, create a new user, eg. JOE. Verify the
  user has default security groups assigned, which are DEFLTREG
  and EVERYONE.
  2- Wait for the UserAnalyzer cron task to run, check the Token
  Licenses tab, verify the license type assigned to the user is
  EXPCONCURRENT.
  
  3- In Security Groups application, create a new security group,
  eg. ANG1, check checkbox of Authorize Group for All Sites; in
  Applications tab, filter "Anywhere Administration", highlight it
  and check checkbox of Grant access for "Read Anywhere App
  Administration". Save it.
  
  4- In Users tab of the newly created security group (eg. ANG1),
  add the user created in Step1 (eg. JOE).
  
  5- Wait for the UserAnalyzer cron task to run. Go to Users
  application, the user record created in Step1(eg. JOE), check
  the Token Licenses tab for the license type of the user.
  
  
  
  RESULTS:
  
  The user's license type is changed from EXPCONCURRENT to
  CONCURRENT.
  
  
  EXPECTED RESULTS:
  
  The use's license type shall remain unchanged as EXPCONCURRENT.

Local fix

• Backup database.
  
  
  Run the following SQL:
  
  update maxlicappaccess set expressuse='READONLY',
  limiteduse='READONLY'  where appname='AWADMIN';
