APAR status

Error description

  • PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
    Receive error when importing location in JSON format via
    application import within the LOCATIONS application.
    
    
    STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
    (1)Go to Object Structure application and find record
    'MXOPERLOC'.
    
    
    (2)Click action 'Add/Modify Application Import Support' and
    create a new row for application 'LOCATION'. Then select 'JSON
    File' as the default file type.
    
    
    (3) Click action 'Add/Modify Application Export Support' and
    create a new row for application 'LOCATION'. Then select 'JSON
    File' as the default file type.
    
    
    (4) Go to Security Groups application and find record
    'MAXADMIN'.
    
    
    (5) Click 'Applications' tab and find record for 'LOCATIONS'.
    Grant access to 'Application Import' and 'Application Export'.
    Then save the change.
    
    
    (6) Log in to Maximo again with a user belonging to security
    group MAXADMIN.
    
    
    (7) Go to LOCATIONS application and filter one location record
    'TESTLOC'.
    
    
    (8) Click action 'Application Export' to export 'TESTLOC' as
    JSON format.
    
    
    (9) Modify the exported JSON file to update the value of
    'description' field. Save the change.
    
    
    (10) Click action 'Application Import' and from the popup
    dialogue, select MXOPERLOC as the object structure.
    
    
    (11) Click 'Select File' to point to above modified JSON file.
    Then click OK.
    
    RESULTS:
    Import of data in the JSON file was unsuccessful with error
    messages.
    
    
    EXPECTED RESULTS:
    Import of data in the JSON file was successful.
    
    
    REPORTED IN VERSION:
    Maximo Asset Management 7.6.1.2
