IJ36443: WHEN TRYING TO COMPLETE AN ASSIGNMENT IN THE WORK ORDER TRACKING APPLICATION, GOT ERROR BMXAA8229W

APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • PROBLEM: When trying to complete an assignment in the Work
    Order Tracking application, the following error is received:
    "BMXAA8229W - Record WORKORDER : Site=BEDFORD Work Order=23123
    has been updated by another user. Your changes have not been
    saved. Refresh the record and try again"
    
    STEPS TO REPLICATE:
    1. Go to Work Order Tracking application
    2. Create a new Work Order (23123)
    - Select any location
    - Save
    3. Change status to APPR
    4. Go to Assignments Tab - Add one (or two) assignments
    Click New Row
    Set Craft: MECH
    Hour will be set as 1 hr as default
    Click New Row
    Set Craft: ELECT
    Hour will be set as 1 hr as default
    5. Add a labor to each of the assignment
    For MECH, assign ADAMS
    For ELECT, assign CALCOTT
    Then, Schedule Start date will be set with current date
    6. Try to complete assignment for first record.
    Will get message "BMXAA2641E - You cannot enter actual labor
    with future dates and times."
    7. Change Scheduled Start Date for the assignment to previous
    day or time
    8. Click complete assignment for first assignment
    
    RESULT:  Error "BMXAA8229W - Record WORKORDER : Site=BEDFORD
    Work Order=23123 has been updated by another user. Your changes
    have not been saved. Refresh the record and try again
    
    EXPECTED RESULT: Complete without error
