APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When creating an ad-hoc report and run it immediately then it is
    working fine, but if the report is scheduled to send an email
    then the mail has an error email stating 'Limit exceeded' even
    though number of records are less then the limit set for report.
    
    
    
    Steps to reproduce:
    
    Make sure the Maximum Record limit mentioned in Report
    Administration for ?Prerequisites & Tasks (T&D)? is 20,000.
    
    1. Go to any application with several hundred records, e.g. 293
    records for the Prerequisites & Tasks (T&D) application
    2. Schedule a report and set it for a future date (At this time)
    
    3. The report is scheduled successfully
    
    Current results:
    
    The email received has a message ?The number of records in your
    query exceeds the limit of 20,000"
    
    
    Expected results:
    
    The issue is that the record limit violation is being reported
    on the email, when in all other instances the record limit
    violation is reported in a dialog before submission.  Therefore,
    the fix is recommended to be that when scheduling ad-hoc reports
    in this scenario, a dialog reporting the record limit violation
    is to be shown rather than sending the email.
