APAR status

Error description

  • DESCRIPTION:
    When the FILTERBYWORKZONE attribute is set to 0, and a Location
    has a Work Zone associated, and the Location is used on a Work
    Order, the Available Labor dialog will not present any rows for
    selection on the Assignments tab
    Users observed that the default query is not correct, or
    otherwise doesn't change based on whether the value of
    WORKORDER.FILTERBYWORKZONE is set to the non-default value of 0.
    STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
    1. Log in to maxdemo instance
    2. Go To System Configuration | Platform Configuration |
    Database Configuration
    3. In the Object field enter "workorder" and press Enter
    4. Click WORKORDER to open the record
    5. On the Attributes tab click Filter
    6. In the Attribute field enter "filterby" and press Enter
    7. Expand the details for FILTERBYWORKZONE
    8. Update the default value to 0
    9. Save the record
    10. On the List View tab click the refresh button on the
    toolbar (Status of WORKORDER updates to "To Be Changed")
    11. More Actions | Apply Configuration Changes
    12. Click the Start Configuring Database button
    13. In the Password field enter the password for MAXADMIN (or
    value in the User Name field)
    14. In the Reason For Change field enter "FILTERBYWORKZONE = 0"
    15. Click OK
    16. Click OK at the System Message, "BMXAA0575I - You started
    the database configuration. You can click Refresh Status at any
    time to see the latest status."
    17. Periodically click the Refresh Status button until the
    System Message appears, "BMXAA0577I - The database
    configuration is complete. You can view the log file to see the
    detailed status."
    18. Click OK
    19. Click OK to close the dialog
    20. Go To Assets | Locations
    21. Common Actions | New Location
    22. In the Location field enter "LOC-01"
    23. In the Description field enter "Location 01"
    24. In the Type field | Select Value | click OPERATING
    25. On the Work Zones tab click the New Row button
    26. In the Work Zone field | Detail Menu | Go To Work Zones
    27. Common Actions | New Work Zone
    28. In the Work Zone field enter "WZ-01"
    29. In the Description field enter "Work Zone 01"
    30. In the Work Zone Type field | Select Value | click ZONE1
    31. Save the record
    32. Click Return With Value
    33. Save the record
    34. Go To Work Orders | Work Order Tracking
    35. Common Actions | New Work Order
    36. In the Location field enter "loc-01" and tab out
    37. On the Assignments tab | Assignments section | click the
    New Row button
    38. In the Craft field | Detail Menu | Select Value
    39. Click ELECT where Skill Level is FIRSTCLASS
    40. In the Labor field | Detail Menu | Select Value
    41. Observe that Labor rows are presented for selection as
    expected
    42. Click the Available Labor button
    43. In the To field click the Select Date button
    44. Click a date that is at least 3 weeks in the future
    45. In the Location field | Select Value
    46. In the Location field enter "loc-01" and press Enter
    47. Click LOC-01
    48. Click the Refresh button
    RESULT:
    No rows are populated in the Labor column
    EXPECTED RESULT:
    Labor rows are presented for selection as expected
